Thank god there are still folks around like Sweden's Style of Eye that can write a proper dance track. The blogosphere can be blamed for oh-so-many things, but the sheer volume of shitty dance music floating around probably tops the list for me. I'm talking about those boring exercises in histrionics that you couldn't dance to even if you wanted to. Blog surfing becomes incredibly depressing when you're checking out one new, relatively unknown act after the next only to discover that it would be better for all of us if they remained unknown. What's worse is the awful knowledge that fifty remixes will follow each track they release.

This is what a Howard Shore film score might sound like if we used guitar drone instead of cellos and then bathed the whole thing in fuzz.
