Cadence Weapon - In Search of the Youth Crew
The first taste (via Pitchfork) of Cadence Weapon's upcoming album, Afterparty Babies. I'm really digging that high-pitched squiggly organ sample that's all chopped up in the background. And it's nice to see Rollie embracing the much-maligned art of the "hip hop skit"--there's a priceless recording of his mom reminiscing at the end of the track.

Blitzen Trapper - Devil's A-Go-Go
"Devil A-Go-Go" is really the only track from Blitzen Trapper's new album that I like, but I like it a hell of a lot. It has a kind of abrasive 70s avant-garde/jazz-funk edge to it.
